Hi, I play on a B&S made Dave Guardala low A baritone sax, black nickel finish, serial number 009622 Made in Germany, lengthwise under the thumb rest. Can anyone help me find out when this was manufactured?
Thank you!

Re: B&S Dave Guardala low A baritone sax
Hi,
unfortunately, there are no serial number lists left.
So I cannot get you a proven build date, but an educated guess: Between 1995 and 2000, most likely 1997 or 1998.
I would be happy to see some pictures of your bariton. Would you mind posting a few?
Thank you!
Regards, tobi.

Re: B&S Dave Guardala low A baritone sax
Thank you very much for your response! I did purchase the bari directly from Dave Guardala at his workshop on Long Island NYC in the late summer of 1997. I've attached a few quick photos of the instrument. Please let me know if there's any specific things you'd like to see and I would be happy to take more/better pictures for you.
Thank you!

Re: B&S Dave Guardala low A baritone sax
Thanks a lot, Christopher!
This is really very helpful for me, as I can fine-tune my personal serial number list.
Another cornerstone comes from you!
I believe that B&S built their baris based on Purchase Orders. So I believe that it was built during Quarter 2 of 1997.
Best regards,
Tobi.
