The Museumís collections include some very large instruments like the worlds largest playable Violin with Bow, the largest accordion and a giant tuba. Some very small instruments like two violins occupying the space of a single matchbox or miniature bows and guitars are also on display.
You can learn about woodwind instruments made from plexiglass and metal, about instruments with reeds, and about the history of brass instruments with several kinds of valves.
During your visit you may hear music boxes, a player piano, and a barrel-organ played for you!
At east wing of the museum are 250 instruments from Africa, America, and Asia telling the visitors about the musical culture of other continents.
In the garden of musicial instruments you can try various instrument machanisms yourself. It is open from march to the end of october during the museums opening hours.
